Guilty Pleasures
« on: June 12, 2006, 12:44:00 pm »
I'm a fairly new member here...but it seems to me the board is full of musical elitists who scoff at anyone's idea of good music that doesn't jive with their interests.

So...that being said...who is your guilty pleasure that you listen to? This might have been done in the past.  If so, I apologize.  I'm just wondering if there are any Ace of Base fans there in the closet stuggling to come out!

Oh yeah, lots of guilty pleasures.

My iPod has a few songs from Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Blink 182, EMF, Jesus Jones, and Madonna. But they all have a special time and place.

We bought a disco compliation for the kids (Kool & the Gang, Villiage Peeps, Donna Summer, all the obvious stuff) and I do like listening to that with them, but I don't feel terrible guilty about it.

So old Neil Diamond gets the hipster seal of approval? I was listening to a live Neil Diamond cassette that I bought at a library sale and my wife nearly threw up, telling me I needed to draw the line somewhere...that I CAN'T like everything.
