I went...thought it was fantastic. I regretted having to leave early to catch the metro. I was a little nervous at the beginning when the band played without her for awhile but obviously she's changed her ways. The only complaint I have about the show was the group of people that was chilling out in the dj booth that were so loud. Anyone know who they were? It looked like a vip type guy whoring himself out to two scantily clad chicks who thought they were 15 years younger than their actual age. Really a disgusting group, and when one guy near me politely asked them to keep the noise level down (I mean this was Cat Power, not Limp Bizkit) the man-whore rudely told him to go stand somewhere else. It was an obnoxious few songs until I relocated.
Anyway, I thought the show was awesome other than that.

It was a surprisingly amazing show...it was quiet downstairs and no one around me was smoking (woo hoo!). She did some solo stuff in the end on the piano (I Don't Blame You was one of them).

It was a fantastic show, I especially enjoyed the covers, Wild is the Wind, House of the Rising Sun, and a medley of Dreams, Blue Moon, and Try a Little Tenderness.  Her 12 piece band was spectacular and was worth the price of admission alone.  She's an adorable dork, who absolutely can't dance.  She did have on breakdown at the end of the night when she tried another medley with That's How Strong My Love Is and two other songs I couldn't identify.  It wasn't working at all and she realized that and stopped in the middle of the song.  She tried to start it again, but it just didn't work.  It seemed to me that she was really just improvising and playing around at the piano, so more accolades for that.  I'd rather here an artist experiment and improvise than listen to a recreation of an album, even if the experiment falls flat.

And for all the haters here's a vid of her and part of her band on the Late Show:

I agree with everything that has been said. I really love the new CD, but live with the Memphis Rhythm Band really exceeded the recording. Having the string section with the trumpet and sax really added a lot. I'll definitely check her out again at ACL in September.
