assuming you meant "planning on going to vegoose", the answer is yes: i've already bought my festival tickets and after-party tickets (thievery and umphrey's mcgee).  i know that thedirector was looking into the financial consequences of going (vs. the spiritual and mental consequences of not going   :D  )

 for anyone who felt/feels that they missed out on this year's festies - vegoose is a great opportunity to make ammends.  daft punk alone is putting me on that plane.  voodoofest is another great option.

Oh.  Don't get it twisted.  You & B. made a monster far as me & Daft Punk shows.  I'm attempting to show some semblance of financial restraint.    :D

I was having this conversation with my mates last night, I said "I would pay 150 JUST to see Daft Punk" But add onto that my favorite band Queens of the Stone Age, one of my all time favorite bands Rage Against The Machine, and on top of that my obsession for the past decade Muse! Not to mention Cyperss Hill, Gogol Bordello, Thievery Corp., and Public Enemy.

 Plus Vegas. I want to go to this sooooo bad!

an even better view from above:

   <img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1147/1121283617_e923dc8b10.jpg" alt=" - " />

 go to http://www.thedailyswarm.com/swarm/daft-punk-alive-2007-tour-all-access/  for a link to a higher-res version. also includes a few details for us gear-heads.  ableton has officially taken over the music industry.

 go to  this myspace page and click on the link in the player to hear an acapella version of "harder better faster stronger".  make you realize how brillant the arrangement of the two vocal parts is.

 and there is a 4.2 GB DVD of the coachella live set available via bittorent - might be enough to get me to check out this "torrent" thing... (here's  a link, i'm sure there are others out there).

Watch yourself with those torrents, homey.  Only certain torrent sites re trustworthy.  My man's a computer whiz, & just got a horrrrrr-ible virus on his PC.  Took a month to clear it off.  I'm just saying . . . .

Well his brilliant leadership keeps my show budget flush, so that and the fact that no mac I've ever owned has been down a DAY let alone a month due to viruses or anything else, makes a strong argument to just say NO to PC's   :cool:

cute:  daft hands

 why is it that UK festivals are on regular TV, and we get half-assed online-only real-time coverage?  two high-quality clips (both audio and video) of DP@download fest:  one and  two (the pyramid goes ballistic when aerodynamic starts, about halfway thru #2).

yeah, and terrorists aren't targeting south dakota either.  indeed, apple is safer, but that there are few mac viruses is, in part, an indictment of the mac - their limited presence makes them a worthless target (see: network effect).  mind you, for the individual user this is a good thing.

interesting - but one pays a premium for a mac.  wouldn't your show budget would be higher if you used a PC?

 this virus thing is a boogey monster - in all my years of computing, i have never had one (i know someone who's mac's hard drive crashed once, lost everything.  macs are evil!  shouldn't be trusted, they crash!  :p )  there are several excellent reasons for going mac, but viruses aren't at the top of the list.

 platform wars are sooooo cool     :cool:
