i was in the barricade for the 3eb show along with monkey, who posted earlier. i can assure you that we were not making fun of the band or the audience.
it was thanksgiving. none of us wanted to be at work. we were standing there doing nothing for two hours. from time to time in a situation like that, we'll do something to entertain ourselves. we probably shouldn't, but it really is tough to just stand there when you're not into the show. you gotta pass the time somehow. dancing, making faces, doing the wave, that kind of childish thing.
i had personal interactions with probably at least half of the folks in the front row and several members of the band after the show, and not one of them mentioned anything to me.
as for the tea, it looked to me like he just dropped the mostly empty cup when he was done with it. not the best place to throw your trash, but it happens all the time.
i apologize if our behavior affected your ability to enjoy the show, but i think that you are misinterpeting what you saw.
