a high speed connection between dc and baltimore wouldn't solve much seeing as there is little public transport beyond getting in and out of downtown.  i.e. not so easy to get to fells point or the ottobar from downtown.

teleporting is the only solution   :D

Unless you dupe them into thinking it's for a baseball team....

so there were plans to built a high speed maglev train between dc and baltimore or pittsburgh and the airport as a test.....if it had been built in dc/baltimore, the trip would have only taken 15-20 minutes (probably would cost an arm and leg though)...however the head of the board overseeing the project was none other than arlan spector from PA...so yeah, you guessed it, pittsburgh/pittsburgh airport got the project.

i used to live in the dc area...now i live in baltimore (in the city)...i love it much more than dc.

they are supposed to be extending the light rail from camden yards out to patterson park...that would make it much easier to get to fells point and canton

Hey sonick, were you trying to get to the Ottobar last night? There were probably ten people there for the show because of the bad roads...and more rockstars than fans.  The bartenders were free-pouring  - and the two bands played their hearts out - which was pretty respectful to the five of us NOT on their guestlist.

But you can't tell me that all of this jogging is normal..? [/b]
I live in suburbia and so would say no.  I guess that in DC it is concentrated to the Mall and some of the paths.  Go into some of the neighborhoods (or just hoods) and you don't see the jogging.

My Baltimore friends who ran would go up to the NCR trail or run in a gym.

I've done the journey from downtown B'more to the Ottobar; you steal a ride on the tram thing for 10 blocks then hop off before it turns right, then you walk 15 blocks straight to the Ottobar. I was lucky enough to catch a ride back to DC from a friend.
