me me me

I'm interested in hearing Ima Robot too, but have a going away HH and may not make it. I wish Ima were playing second; looks like they're first out of three.

 Have I got that right?

well, i dont know what HH means, but you should scrap it cause Ima Robot is great live and should not be missed.  I hope that show doesnt sell out before i can get to DC on Monday to buy tickets.

HH is happy hour.  I will try for Ima, honest I will!

I don't think it will sell out fast; the last Hot Hot Heat show about six months ago was maybe half full.

They have got a lot more press and airplay since then. I bought my tickets last night.

If you want to play a game at the show, count how many people have chunky white hipster belts at the show. I felt quite left out as mine was at home.

Saw 'em on Letterman a couple of weeks ago. To me, they sounded like a cross between Sparks and DK's, which is a pretty good idea.

Another good game is to count how many kids are instant messaging someone from the show!  I predict....half.

I saw their April (?) show at 9:30, and it was fun.  I didn't have their album yet (or e.p., or whatever it is), I just stopped by to see what they were like.  A lot of energy, the lead singer is a little over the top, but I'd rather that than indie cool standing still.

 I'd recommend it.

I was hoping he would be punky, instead he is far too effete. It really put me off them.

Definitely effete -- he reminded me of a coiffed garage version of Mitch Easter.

And that's when I decided pants *that* tight are not attractive on any man.

Ima be there...surprised it's not sold-out. Saw them at the Ottobar this summer and they rocked!

anyone coming down for the hhh show should be aware that howard's homecoming is that night.  be prepared for traffic delays if you're coming from the north.  i'd suggest using 13th street to avoid the hassle on georgia.
