Strange stories about Bush
« on: December 08, 2003, 01:04:00 pm »
http://www.whitehouse.org/administration/georgew.asp

did anyone else know that, "During high school at Philips Andover Academy, Bush blossomed in his role as a                          determinedly non-effeminate cheerleader"

No offence to male cheerleaders, but what a whoopsie.

 and somewhat less surprising: http://www.nme.com/news/106957.htm

Eminem gets probed because he says bad things about the president. Will middle America burn his records like they did the Dixie Chicks?

The only people that burned Dixie Chicks CDs were a couple of grandstanding yahoo DJs.

Despite all the rumors of some vast Dixie Chicks backlash by those ignorant right wing, bible-thumping Americans, the Dixie Chicks album actually sold more after their comments.  Their subsequent tour sold out and their subsequent DVD sold like a jazillion copies.

Don't believe everything you read on the internet.

I know I'm only a non-college educated working class hero from the blue collar city of Manchester, but how much exactly is a jazillion? More or less than a buzzillion?

Oh, okay thanks, but how much is a shit-load compared to a truck-load, or boat-load for that matter?

Since England is such a small island, you all share the same ideals, right?
