Am I the only person who quite likes Courtney? Wishing ill on her, would just impact negatively on her and Kurts kid. That kid is 50% Kurt.

I was always fond of this:

 Oh, make me over
  I'm all I wanna be
  A walking study
  In demonology

Hey, so glad you could make it
Yeah, now you really made it
Hey, so glad you could make it now

   Oh, look at my face
My name is might have been
  My name is never was
  My name's forgotten

Hey, so glad you could make it
Yeah, now you really made it
Hey, there's only us left now

When I wake up in my makeup
It's too early for that dress
  Wilted and faded somewhere in
  Hollywood
  I'm glad I came here
  With your pound of flesh
No second billing cause you're a star now
  Oh, Cinderella
  They aren't sluts like you
  Beautiful Garbage Beautiful dresses
Can you stand up or will you
  just fall down

  You better watch out
   What you wish for
  It better be worth it
  So much to die for

Hey, so glad you could make it
Yeah, now you really made it
Hey, there's only us left now

When I wake up in my makeup
Have you ever felt so used up as this?
  It's all so sugarless
  Hooker/waitress/model/actress
  Oh, just go nameless

 Honeysuckle, she's full of poison
  She onbliterated everything she kissed
  Now she's fading
  Somewhere in Hollywood
  I'm glad I came here
  With your pound of flesh

You wanta a part of me
  Well, I'm not selling cheap
  No i'm not selling cheap

Courtney Love hasn't done anything decent music-wise since Live Through This (92 or 93?) and I doubt she's done anything decent human-wise in even longer.

She's always struck me as a 100% self serving b-i-t-c-h.

I do think that Live Through This is a good album and she is a master of self-promotion, so I gotta hand it to her for that.

Nope, but I don't always like her.  Sometimes her, "I'm not hip and into all that jive; so I was talking with William S. Burroughs and Keanu Reeves at the Ivy the other day....." schtick gets to me.  Is she meta-ironic?  She's something, but I find it quite fascinating and thought provoking (by accident).

Have you ever thought that J.Lo or Madonna were any nicer? At least Loves music was better than theirs.

You are not alone.I think she is one of the most strong willed individuals to come along in  a long time.A lot of people slag her off coz she does what she wants, knows what she wants and goes after it,and damned what anybody else thinks.Count me in the Courtney's all right with me camp, albeit a small camp i'm sure. She's a pretty good actress as well, brought tears to Larry's eyes when she played his Althea.although i'm sure I'd think diferently if I was ever on the wrong side of her wrath.

I just think if she was a guy, everyone would think she/he was great. I dont think aAmericans are comfortable with bright, motivated women. Why else would people say bad things about Hilary Clinton?

Although it pains me to admit it,i believe you are correct. She definitely knew what she wanted and didn't stop til she got there.Admirable in my book!As for Kurt, his demise was inevitable rather she was around or not,the man just couldn't deal!

Lourdes A. Li-Peng, starting your Christmas celebrating already?   :D

Courtney sort of reminds me of Nancy Spongend(sp?) except she was able to succeed where Nancy failed. And some would say that Kurt missed his queue before he followed through with his demise.

With that said, I'm not one of her fans but I do like a song or two. She does make for entertaining warped news stories.

She actually tried out of the part of Nancy in sid and Nancy, hit a little to close to home i believe, she ended up playing a smaller role instead.Apparently the director reaaly liked her and went to bat for her on other projects when the suits balked at casting her.Woody H. seems to be a big fan as well after working with her in People VS.

I never knew that. She probably would have been good but probably a pain to work with.

If she did get the role it would have been weird watching it as the lines of identity would have blurred at times.

Okay, but it would still be eerie watching it today.

[/QB][/QUOTE]                                                                                             Woody said she was late on the first day of fiming PVLF and he was really pissed. So,he decided to tell her off, which ended up in a wrestling match.Since that time, they became  good friends and she was much more professional on the set after that.At least thats how Woody remembered it.
