Not even a question, though I guess the point is now moot. Besides, if JR played a half-hour, he must've done a triple encore.
So how was the show? Their opening set for the Ponys a year or so ago was the greatest thing I'd seen in eleven weeks.

This Sunday
Screen Vinyl Image instrumental all synth set (might be one of a kind show) in VA
vs
Bonde do Role and Com Truise at Red Palace...

It would probably be doable to go to both, if SVI plays early, but I wouldnt want to risk missing BDR, who put on a great show.

screen vinyl image plays all the time and an instrumental set lowers the desire for me even to go see them.  Bonde do Role  is a no brainer.

True that might lower your desire, but the fact that it is different appeals to me.  Ive seen BDR before, as a headliner, and they were great, but I am afraid that the DC crowd will not be as fun as the Baltimore show of theirs.  Com Truise, while great and I have never seen live, might be a bit boring.

I hope BDR does a headlining tour, and hits Baltimore in the near future, but that might not happen.  The last time I saw them was years ago... It does almost seem like a no brainer, but i do think a SVI all synth show at some small place could be a great experience for my live music taste.  I know people in other countries who would love to have a SVI all synth show as a choice...  I try to not take for granted the great local bands of Baltimore and DC, and support the ones I really dig.  Or I wouldnt be asking this question.  Ive seen SVI live 7 or 8 times so far, but i want to support them so they can keep making tunes.

Anyways, probably will be a Sunday decision.

Whoa. That Screen Vinyl show is all synth? May have to consider that, now. I was torn between the Des Ark/War on Women/Fell Types gig and a show a friend is playing at Pink Line Project HQ.

P.S. Dr. Dog and post-YHF Wilco are two of the lamest bands around currently so Rhett is the last person who should be referring to anybody as lame.

You're the one who called yourself lame. I was only watching your back for you.

"Post-YHF Wilco lame blah blah blah." That one has to be on the top five list of music hipster cliches.

And plenty of the tuneless noise bands you listen to could take a lesson or two from Dr Dog on how to play their instruments and craft a good pop song.  ;)

He did. Probably purposefully.

And just because that post-YHF line is cliche, doesn't make it untrue.

YHF is one of the worst albums I have ever heard.

While I wouldn't go that far, they've had two before and two since that were better!

Sorry I misspelled your name, Jimmy Lee. I'm sure you care.
