I would say so, while at the same time not being a follower of fashion with a penfag or redwank jersey like the bandwagon sheeple you see on the streets.

What issue is that?  They are chic and extremely comfortable.  You gals must be buying the wrong shoes.  Go spend some money on a good pair of leather flats that FIT WELL and they will pay for themselves time and time again.  I'm going to Brooklyn from the Upper West Side for work every day this summer and walking all the fuck over the place and the flats I have don't hurt and are cute as hell.  No excuses!!!!

I'm with Betty on this one. Which reminds me, I need to set aside some money for a little trip to Aerosoles (however you spell it). I love that place. I need some good, comfortable and affordable work/play shoes.

With that said, I love flip flops but I do tend to reserve my wearing of them for around the house in place of slippers and Ocean City or other beachy places. It's all just a natural common sense thing. That's all.

Sweetie is referring to when he met me and I was wearing a Caps jersey.  Of course, I had come directly from a Caps game.  He liked it though as he touched my butt many times that night.

And to some, thats irritating.  its not the end of the world.  I happen to pick style over comfort most of the time too.
I never really knew that a city with a downtown daytime crowd that is about 70% entrenched federal bureaucrats just working day to day until they are eligible for government retirement ever cared much about looking nice while commuting to work.

Tiny Mix Tapes Disparages DC Hipsters' Furor Over Stupid Shit:

Quote
Music Venue Black Cat Discriminates Against Flip-Flop-Wearers

Outraged DC concertgoers (might have) waved handmade signs above their heads at a rally last week, reading slogans like "Give Me Liberty or Give Me Crocs" and "Stop Wasting My Pedicure." The crowdâ??s wrath was directed at one man by the name of Dante Ferrando, owner of the Black Cat club, in response to his new anti-flip-flop policy.

Showing concern at the number of concertgoers suffering serious injuries like crushed toes and cuts from broken glass, Ferrando has decided to tighten up his suggested policy sometime this summer, turning away those who attend shows in the offending footwear. "Flip-flops are pretty much the same as bare feet," he says.

Appalled at Ferrandoâ??s consideration for his patronsâ?? safety, proponents of the flip-flop are calling his move "sneakerist" and "creepily compassionate," insisting that all forms of footwear be permitted within the club, lest their summer wardrobe be, like, totally ruined.

Rumors of the Black Catâ??s conspiratorial secret deal with major athletic shoe companies could not be confirmed at the time of press, but Nike mysteriously could not be reached for comment, even when I called them repeatedly on this here bananaphone. Phooey.

Wow really? I was considering going to that too. Bummer.

Maybe I'll take some flip-flops and an 8-ball to the rnr hotel and check out some stoner metal.
