I'm leaving in about 2 hours myself. If you have my #, feel free to call me and I'll buy you a beer or something at the show.

I wish in return for having to deal with this shit weather that we don't have to listen to the Liars.  Wishful thinking, of course!

Hey, at least it's not as bad as Bull Run. Sorry to bring it up, but it's true  :)

maybe they'll open with a cover of the dead's "box of rain."

thank you mother, for giving me a reason not to go tonight.  i hate rainy nissan shows.  nissan never cancels any show due to rain.

Looking forward to reading the show reports. I'm seeing them Wed night in St. Louis.

Called the box office number listed on the LiveNation site prior to leaving to check on the status of the show - it's a non-working number.  Left DC around 6:15p (late, I know).  Traffic was very heavy on I-66, esp. nearer to the exit for Nissan.  Took exit 44 and were stuck in traffic on 234 for at least an hour. Wellington road was apparently flooded to the east of the Pavilion, so traffic was diverted over to Linton Hall to approach from the west.  We gave up after another hour or so crawling along with hundreds of others, figuring we'd never get there in time to see Radiohead.  A huge (and expensive) disappointment - this is the first and last time I buy tickets for a show at Nissan.

Bull Run

Edit: Hadn't read Bearman's post when I put that up. Great minds think alike I suppose. It's pretty nasty out there. With traffic worse than usual for Nissan, what a nightmare that's gotta be.

Met a friend and left Fair Lakes at 6:45.  Took some back roads and made it to within 3 miles of the pavilion in about 40 mins (PM me for directions - beats sitting on 66).  Made it to the pit spot at 9:15, during Nude (which I now see was the 4th song).

Highlights for me were:  Paranoid Android, Just, and Fake Plastic Trees (though everything was most excellent).  Very cool stage/light setup.

I'm also surprised how many brahs have caught on to Radiohead.

stories like this are why i refuse to go back there unless someone like john lennon rose from the dead ... and even then i'd rather take the train to philly or nyc than go to nissan
