I'll probably be at the liberation dance party tomorrow and if I manage to get those free tickets to the show I'll make them available for free to board members that really want to go.

Seeing as numerous people didn't get tickets for the Bloc Party.  I wonder if we can get the powers to be to swap Virginia Coalition, at the 9:30 club, for The Bloc Party.  They are only after all a local band...

Did you verify that, or are you just assuming the charges were outrageous?  Black Cat tickets via TM's website usually have a $3 convenience charge per ticket.  Usually, it's will-call only and no delivery fee.   $3 is hardly a huge price to pay for something that will probably sell out in advance. That's less than the cost of a single beer. [/b]
apparently i need one of those nice DC jobs so i wont have to worry about an extra $6 everytime i wanna go out......

My wife's place of work is hiring for two positions...she was showing me some of the cover letters and resumes people had sent in. It's amazing how poor the grammar is out there.

in DC you never know. I have never once gotten tickets to a Black Cat show on the night of the event. partially cause i dont go during the week, cause i wont be home til after 1am. weekend shows almost always sell out....

also, I have been to the 930 club one too many times to see a show and its sold out at the door.

you never know with DC. Baltimore, almost nothing sells out.  plus i can stop by the venue.

Go to shows by bands other than the latest NME and Spin cover boys and you'll have better luck.

Clem Snide and Archer Prewitt played Black Cat recently on a Friday night. Bet that was a quality show that didn't sell out.

I agree that his voice is annoying, but they do put on a quality live show. I'll bet Archer Prewitt is good as well.

What is most annoying about Bright Eyes is his look and his personality, even more than his voice.

oh, the "discerning" Rhett has spoken.

but i can sort of agree.  after seeing the Bravery, i would be embarassed to say i liked those foolish looking jerkoffs.  (i did like them i guess, but thier live show turned me O-F-F)
