Hoya - as one of the board's "scum of the earth" lawyers (and one that went to that untowardly expensive lawschool known as GW)I can tell you that a career in the law can be interesting, lucrative, and beneficial to society ans still allow you time and flexibility to go to 9:30 club shows from time to time.
It does not really matter where you go to law school if you want to practice law. If you want to get out of school and make around $200k to start, then it matters where you go to law school, but those folks have a pretty low quality of life for at least the first 10 years of their careers, and they are almost exclusively doing behind the scenes work for large corporations as opposed to helping the little guy.
