Dear friends,
Expect sweat on the walls as Travis Morrison joins BLISS this month to share his favorite sick pop hits, Missy Elliot floor-shakers, and perhaps a few Masai-inspired novelty tunes. His career as a
musician stems from an unexpected brush with death on rural route 90 in northern Arizona, where his tractor-trailer overturned and in a near-death experience Mr. Morrison experienced "an enigma."
A post-structural theorist, avant-garde harpsichord designer, and rock and roll singer, Travis was recently a member of the Washington, D.C. band The Dismemberment Plan.
He is also very handsome.

BLISS is a monthly dance party in the heart of the Nationâ??s capital dedicated to attractively alarming new music, indie dance, disco punk, tech-funk (and the occasional disturbingly alluring pop classic). Find BLISS the 4th Saturday of the month at the Black Cat.
* If there is a line for the main stage show, the Black Cat often opens a side door just to the right of the main entrance for the Red Room bar and back stage where BLISS is held
