Picking up at willcall before the day-of show.

OK, I know I've seen before that this can be done, picking up my tickets to an event a few months off at the next show I go to. 2 questions:
 
 (1) What do I need to take to willcall to get the tickets?
 
 (2) Is there some minimum time I must wait? For example, if I think a show will be an instant sellout but will be at the club later that same day, can I buy online in the morning and then show up a few hours later or do I have to wait at least xx number of days for everything to process?
 
 Weird questions, I know, but I appreciate it.

You need your photo id and your order number to pick up will call tickets ahead of time (it may help if you bring the credit card used to place the order).
 
 I would wait at least 24 hours after placing your order before trying to pick up will call tickets in advance.
 
 Note that we will sometimes not allow will call tickets to be picked up in advance for certain events. You may want to call the box office first to see if this applies to the show you buy for.
