not a fan of rams head live at all....but i suppose it has better sight lines than sonar

It would be nice if certain shows got double-booked at Ram's Head and 9:30 instead of having to choose between the 2. In some cases, I'd make sure to go to both.

  I like this a lot.  I have basically stopped working there for their lineup was horrific. A few good bands come now and then but usually its the same rotation over and over again , every 6 months.
 
  Hopefully this will give Rams Head Live a chance to get some more "relevent" artists coming into town. I know a lot of people say its crappy and a dump but the place is crowded most nights and any time a popular act does get booked, its sold out 100% of the time.

  It is better than Sonar and security is much nicer too

Yes, but you guys have cheaper rents and mortgages. If we're paying more to live, we should get more of the creature comforts!

Does this mean decent bands might finally be coming to Rams Head? the venue isn't really that bad I dig it except you have to get their a bit early to get up front, but the bands are never interesting to me. i saw Queens and the Volta there and have rarely been interested in anything else thats come through there.

QOTSA and Mars Volta(1st X, accidentally signed up to work the 2ndX) are the only two shows I went there for.  I don't think that mars backdrop would fit in 9:30--it was one of the better ones.
