I'll be heading to Toronto on Thursday evening.  Yes, flying on Christmas, we did it last year.

Its funny spending a holiday at a place where people are generally assholes and inconsiderate to everyone around them. The airport almost isnt so bad.

At midnight I realized it soul have been faster driving (that's what we always did growing up). Thankfully my flight did end up getting out. I got in at 2am central.

Yesterday I drove to upstate New York ...

I've been in upstate NY for two hours now and am already bored.  Next time anyone complains about the lack of good DC shows, just imagine being stuck here...

I walked 8 blocks up to V Street and back last night... no major problems..

Today we walked to Georgetown for a nice late lunch at Fino...very good sidewalk conditions....

I drove from downtown DC to Chevy Chase yesterday.   There was light-to-moderate flow.

On Christmas Eve, Smackette and I took a nice drive down the coast to get from SF to The OC - Big Blue always puts me in a good place.  Little rain, little traffic, about 8 hours total.

We spent Xmas in Anaheim, then drove to Laguna where I took this picture from the bar where I was buying a drink for Julie Cooper-Nichol-Cooper, who, as it turns out, lives down the street.  She's pretty hot for almost 40, and her voice is super sexy.

Yesterday, we drove back to SF without hassle...

spent Dec 23 not flying from ottawa to seattle, a non-process that took almost 5 hours.  had to spend another night with the sister.  spent Dec 24 getting as far as vancouver, at which point we took a bus to seattle.  the west coast got the most snow they've ever seen.  hilarity on the streets ensued.  got out fine yesterday.

I took my bike to work today because it was warmish.  Traffic remained light and the lights seemed unusually optimal, shaving a couple of minutes off my trip.
