to tie in with another thread, porn industry is facing a similar situation to the music and non-xxx film industry: new modes of distribution which require a shift in business model.  as you've noted, people will pay a premium for convenience, expanded choice, exclusive content, etc. 

i wonder if julian will come up to bat for the porn industry and defend them against the evils of illegal downloaders
