New to forum, 25 years at the club tho. Sorry to jump right in with a question, but I gotta know right now. Is Brian Jonestown Massacre is coming this spring or not?

Yep, shoulda took the time to search before posting. I haven't heard anything about tix (softsale or otherwise) yet tho. They're one of my favorite bands and I've never seen them, so I may be a bit over anxious. Thanks.

The best way to find out about soft sales from the club is to sign up for the newsletter or consistently check this page.

As far as I know, there has been no official announcement on ticket availability.

Would you mind if I hijack this to ask about something that's been nagging me?

I was just wondering how BJM are playing 9:30?  It occurred to me that they aren't really around much, are they?  Mostly it's just BJM rip off bands now.  I remember seeing them 7 years ago (when I assume they were more popular) somewhere a lot smaller than 9:30.  I mean, I don't know nothin, but this just struck me as odd...

And to clarify, I'm not trying to insult anyone for sure, more power to 'em

They haven't been around much, you're right about that. Judging by stuff I've seen on Youtube, Anton has been plagued by his many demons in recent years. It's hard to judge how much of their admittedly scant popularity endures, but there are certainly a few fans out there. And I, for one, really want to see them before Anton completely implodes. They're not for everyone, that's for sure. Since the Dandys played at 9:30 just a few months ago, I'd say it's a fitting venue.

Actually, since they've been in the area last, their popularity has greatly increased; I believe, in part, to many of those BJM rip-off bands.

Hopefully, Anton keeps his head cool and straight and delivers the great show they are capable of presenting.

While we are on the subject, I've noticed that in more recent photos that Anton is looking like an aging redneck. Not that this really matters one way or another.

913 people died at the jonestown massacre.  a cult headed by jim jones was a horrible tragedy that ruined so many families and has spawned many other splinter cult bullshit, leading brainwash into overspin.  i don't think a band should be allowed to name themselves after it.

how about these for bands:

cheney nine eleven

timmy oklahoma bombing

james martin luther king assasination

pontius pilate jesus crucifixiion

I'm thinking Pontious Pilates may be a great band name.

Why not Punchass Pilates? Or Punchass Pilots?
