I loved that first Bluetones record...still do.

On the fence about tonight. Seems kinda pricey...but that being said, Neil is still a hottie. I've got a dinner but I guess if I'm done in time I'll stop by.

how was the show? do you remember any of the setlist? i still never got around to listening to the newest album. maybe need to go put it on my ipod tonight.

The show was pretty good.  I'm not a huuuge fan per se, but enjoyed them back around 2001-ish.  I will say that Fran is one hell of a showman, puts a lot of effort in and moves around the stage a lot, at one point going halfway out into the crowd on the floor to slowdance with some girl while singing.  They played a range of stuff from their whole career and ended with an accoustic singalong of Flowers in the Window.  Good times.

his debut/best album came out during that whole mid-90s period, plus he hob-nobbed with a lot of them (and thus was photo-ed in NME and MM a lot).

Loved reading this, and they did a good job of profiling all of the main bands (apart from the ones that are still a legitimate going concern like Oasis, Supergrass, Blur?).

i guess the point there is that no one is asking "where are they now"... although "why" remains a legitimate question, for 2 of the 3 :D
