Ghost/Magik Markers roll call!!!!!!!!

I haven't had expectations this high for a show since MBV last fall.

Those of you who have AC Ottobar tickets are strongly advised to reconsider (NKOTB, Joe).

animal collective was pretty good but not as good as ghost.

So this was about as amazing as I thought it'd be. The chemistry between Batoh and Kurihara is unparalleled. I thought Kurihara was great with Boris but this was a totally different beast. The improv never got repetitive or monotonous; all the jams actually went somewhere. Highlights included Hypnotic Underworld, Motherly Bluster, Coming Home and that epic intro they played to start off the set. Loved the Magik Markers set, too. Elisa's fine-tuned her singing a hell of a lot.


I'm afraid that AC will feel like psychedelic amateur hour tonight after such a mindblowing display.

Wait, did you see AC at Ottobar then left to see Ghost?  That's what I did and I'm so glad I did it, though I only caught the last hour of Ghost's set.

I have not seen the Velvet that packed on any given night(!). I agree with azagh's assessment of the show

yeh but mono was sorta lame save for three or four incredible moments. half the set was filled schmaltzy garbage that was making some of the post-rock kids around me burst into tears.
