Died Young, Stayed Pretty
Thursday, September 24, 2009    6:30 pm

Died Young, Stayed Pretty is a candid look at the underground indie-rock poster culture in North America. In this unique documentary, director Eileen Yaghoobian examines the creative spirit that drives these controversial graphic artists. Tracing the rock poster industry from the 1960?s to present day, Yaghoobian offers an intimate look into this modern subculture, revealing the little known world of rock poster giants such as Art Chantry, Brian Chippendale, the Ames Brothers, Print Mafia, and Rob Jones. These self-proclaimed professional radicals continue to push the envelope, creating posters that are strikingly obscene, unflinchingly blasphemous, and often quite beautiful. Director, Eileen Yaghoobian, introduces the film.
