Redskins ticket reps are always calling me about season tickets.  They have offered me free tickets to U2 and Paul.  Too bad the Redskins are lame.  Go Caps!

He's playing Jet. That's all that matters. You can leave after that.

yeah, i guess my number finally came up (or whatever) after years on the waitlist.  they were several months late as i'd sprung for caps season tix in feb.  besides, it doesn't get any more convenient for me than the verizon center, and i don't hate the owner.

Oh man, he dropped For No One from the last time he toured. My favorite. :(

Kosmette and I are in, pulled what appear to be decent seats in Section 113 in the back.  Too bad about the Synder tax on top off all the other fees....  We really enjoyed his phone booth show in 2002 and it sounds like he and his band are still in top form.

The metro station is walkable correct?

All of the comments here talked me into it. I just bought four $30 tickets (before fees). I hope the sound holds up in the upper deck. We are in the 9th row, straight back from the stage. It is quite a distance back, but I figure it will give us the best view. It feels like a really good deal right now, and I am glad I read the thread.
Kosmo, the Morgan Blvd. metro station is about a mile away, and is not a bad walk. The other stop may be a little closer, but I haven't used it yet.

Up in NYC we sat in the upper-deck of CitiField, about 15 rows from the top, and the sound was really very good, definitely loud enough. He's got these big speaker rigs set up facing up and into the higher-reaching sections.  Of course FedEx is twice the size of CitiField but I expect he'll make it work.  The stage visuals feature two vertical jumbotron screens on each side of the stage, pretty much projecting Paul close-ups throughout. In NY he had an opening act, an Irish pop/rock group called The Script. And he didn't wind up coming on til around 9pm, maybe a little earlier.  35 songs total. 2 encore sets. Good stuff. Souvenirs include: $30 programs (mostly pix, not much text); $5 keychains, $20 coffee mugs, $35-$45 t-shirts, etc. Enjoy, everybody ...

I opted out. As much as I'd like to go, the fees are ridiculous.

Which stop is the best if I take the metro?

I'm thinking about just driving from Baltimore, parking at the U of MD and taking the metro from there.

Morgan Blvd on the Blue line is the stop for FedEx.  Give yourself about 20 mins to walk from the metro, but it's pretty easy.

Crap, the metro ride itself would be an hour commute.

I've never been to a huge stadium concert, is parking usually a cluster f*ck?
