I just grabbed my tix. The only reason I am going is to see Love in its entirety. While The Cult are an excellent live band (performance-wise, they have been rock-solid), I generally can't justify their ticket price for a typically static set of the usual hits and some new tracks that last only 90-100 minutes. The band has a very expansive back catalog that they ignore and the fact that they rarely play more than 90 minutes a huge turn-off.

I'm in. 3rd time seeing them at the Club. Tix are def overpriced but I've never had a bad time. Definitely looking forward to something more than the usual greatest hits set.

Wow.

Mr. Aspbury doesn't like Dave Grohl very much, eh?

I haven't given half a shit about the Foos since that horrendous second album and have many reservations about TCV but those rants were some of the most bizarre and uncalled for stage banters I've ever witnessed. And how could someone dismiss another band for being "jock-rock" while playing to a crowd made primarily up of piss-drunk, douchy belligerent jocks at the same time?

He must've seen how fast TCV tickets sold out and got bitter.

Other than that, show was pretty good.

Yeah very solid meat and potatoes rock show....

I thought he went off on Grohl and "The Jack" (maybe meaning the radio station) but maybe I misheard and he was talking about jock rock...

It was definitely "jock rock." he mentioned it about 20 times.

Good show from The Cult. A friend of mine scored tickets so I went to check them out with him. Astbury's got a huge chip on his shoulder!
