Anyone sampled the Firestone Luponic Distortion?

 i liked both 1 and 2 - 3 should be out soon i think

Somewhat complex for a 5.9abv?   Clean finish?

as i wrote a while back, 2 left me very unimpressed and concerned that maybe i got a bad batch:

FW Luponic Distortion 002: meh.  might be the first FW beer that i'm less than impressed with.  maybe the sixer i got was mistreated on the way over here... i'm hoping this is the case, as i can't believe that FW could screw up a hoppy beer.  not that i'm going to risk my money on another 6 pack...

or, maybe, i just didn't like that IPA.  haven't tried it again so can't confirm or deny.

Did y'all hear the Firestone Walker is killing off Double Jack, Wookey Jack, and Opal? What a shame, all excellent beers, when fresh.

This 4 hour layover is made only slightly tolerable by Duvel on draft.

Here's one for fans of Wicked Weed who may not frequent the Beer Advocate forums....

The beer gods smiled on us...back to school night appears to have been moved to a different night, allowing us to go to our daughter's favorite DC restaurant tonight...
Funny...back to school night for mine is the reason I can't go to this tonight

I wore my Crooked Stave t-shirt to back to school night last night. I'm sure I broke some kind of school rule.

I saw these cool little 5L mini-kegs of Oberon earlier. I really like this beer but they basically only sell it for 6 months out of the year. Stored in this format at room temperature, how long hypothetically would one of these remain good? (And would it change it if I stuck it in my freezer?)

Oberon

(And would it change it if I stuck it in my freezer?)

never understood the appeal of this one...but I just don't like Wheat beer that much

and yes my recommendation would be to put it in the Freezer...please send pics after it explodes
Beer unlike hard liquor has a high water content...causing it to expand

OK, let me rephrase the scenario: refrigerator (not freezer) vs room temperature.

WHAT IS THE SHELF LIFE OF AN UNOPENED MINI-KEG?
Typically, one of our mini-kegs can be stored for several months, provided that you store it in a cool place. Refrigeration is preferable, but not completely necessary. We encourage retailers to keep them cold so that the shelf life with you, the consumer, is maximized. Once you get it home, storage in a cooler would be ideal, but cool spaces such as closets or basements will work just fine.
