update: Perennial Sump was added to the list. I had one of those, and an Epic Big Bad Baptista. Baptista was the mvp of the night. I had Mexican Cake and Xovoveza earlier in the week, and the surprisingly, the Epic was the best of the three Mexican stouts.

When you're not going to shows five nights a week, you're forced to  develop other shallow interests.

Veil Brewing one year anniversary party tickets procured.

Should be a solid day of Mekong >>> Veil boozin'.

Also, coincidentally had a party in Ashburn on a weekend where Aslin cans were plentiful. I was able to get the max allotment of 3 of 4 cans with zero lines. Hoping this becomes the norm for Aslin.

I went Saturday at 2 and got the max on Orange Starfish and Mind the Hop. Skipped Stellar Parallex (I have sooo much IPA's at home right now!), though in retrospect wish I had grabbed it.

I think I read that the SAturday can release was a one time thing because their schedule had been pushed back due to the storm; that Thursday will remain can release day.

Had a can of Orange Starfish last night, and I have to say I preferred it to the Veil, Other Half, and Three's cans we have been drinking the last couple of months, even when the latter were fresh. It's only true rival (among those I've procured from the source recently) is the Singlecut Softly Spoken Magic Spells I brought home from the brewery.

Ehh... that's unfortunate.

But yeah, when in doubt always max out. I also hook up friends or just trade the extras. I have a box of Tree House cans coming thanks to these and in my opinion, those beers are light years ahead of Aslin.

The only one of the three that really blew me away was the the "Mind the Hop." I still find i prefer Veil way more than Aslin. Quality control, appearance, and alcohol burn tend to be a common theme at Aslin.

Additionally, drank a new Ocelot IPA side by side with the Aslin beers and it tasted like garbage compared to Aslin.
