Eagles of Death Metal show
« on: April 23, 2006, 11:41:00 am »
Anyone here go? I scored a last minute ticket (didn't think it would sell out) and thought it was great. EoDM are a great party rock'n'roll band, though I was surprised that Josh Homme wasn't there. I figured he was touring with them -- instead it was a very competent drummer who looked a lot like Brody Dalle.

Even better than the Eagles though were the Rye Coalition. Man, they were incredible. Just a wall of pure rock sound -- supertight rhythm section, two lead guitarists, and great, charismatic singer. The best part -- the "I can't believe this is happening" part -- was when they concluded their set with one of the all-time best rock'n'roll songs: Whole Lotta Rosie. Just awesome.
