It's sold out now, so perhaps a few of you out there are going?
The week is still early, but hoping to be there.

Im in for the Rams Head show... I jumped on tickets before i found out there was a 930 one... Im hoping th dc show being sold out is a sign that the Baltimore one wont be crowded, since its hard enough as is to see in that venue.

Im excited though, should be a fun night!

I enjoyed the show.  The venue wasnt crowded, which allowed me ample spots to view, a complaint i usually have with RHL.  The sound was good, except a little bass heavy.  The tunes were good, though I would have loved a little more tunes off the last album, but oh well.

Have fun at the 930 show, i kind of wish i had tickets for it as well.

Theyre playing tonight in NYC and its killing me not to go. Id have loved to see Jamey opening up. If its only an hour I wont be so sad. But Kevin always does put on a really great performance/show. Im curious what he's doing now, or if its much like it was last time I saw them.

That's a nice setlist. I might have to decide to go to the Richmond show this weekend.

Did they really not play Wraith Pinned To The Mists? if so, good for them.

Pretty much what I expected.

I couldn't get passed the sloppiness of the band but as stated above, the theatrics still appear to be more of a concern to them than the music itself.
Firebutt thinks Kevin Barnes heard me calling his band sloppy as we walked by the backstage entrance.

Oh and I don't know how their ignoring their first five albums (two of which are their best two) doesn't frustrate anybody else.

That's what I heard...sounds like he only rode out on stage once on the back of an albino rhino while sword fighting with an 8-headed paper mache representation of the Babylonian god of fertility.

Way less theatrics is less of an excuse for many of their songs to be unrecognizable until Kevin opened his mouth. At least they got rid of that obnoxious backing track.

Drunk Firebutt singing most of Joanna Newsom's "Emily" word for word afterward was better than the show. And Joe can back me up on that.

LOL! That was an awesome show but would have been way better if it were a rhino. now a horse really doesnt sound that exciting. and of course the theatrics are tamed down from that.

i miss kevin in his shiny red boots and green skirt. of course, then there wasnt any theatrics just all the men (and dottie) dressed up so beautifully.

i also miss them not playing their earlier stuff.
