Fugazi Done?
« on: January 06, 2004, 11:26:00 am »
So Buddyhead is saying Fugazi split up, I know there has not been much news about them and they did not play Fort Reno, but has this been reported elsewhere?  Did I miss something?  Or is Buddyhead just reporting rumor, as they often do?

I don't trust Buddyhead.  I don't see how their bands do either.  All they do is talk shit.

Fugazi's done.  I guess they just didn't want to make some big deal announcement about being broken up.

Never heard of buddyhead?

It's a site run by a couple of guys in the band Icarus Line and run the Buddyhead label. Think of them as the anti-Pitchfork.

They tend to pimp their own bands. But they have a great gossip page. While some of it should be taken with tablespoon of salt, some of it is accurate.

Well the question has been if Brendon leaves and Jerry were to take over, would they keep the name?

I don't think it will ever "end" they can keep playing and recording until their 70s like the old blues guys and we will keep buying it.

In the movie "Instrument" they said that if any one of them ever wanted to leave the group, they would disband.

If I said where it would be too obvious, but I did have a ponytail and it is in the greater DC area (but not in DC).

I'll never forget the rainy saturday i sat down on my couch and low and behold, Instrument was just starting on the Independant film channel. I remember it well. McDonalds and MacKaye, it was dreamy.
