did you call in sick today

no, i had a lot of work to do last night so i didn't drink that much during the game... the lack of depressants in my blood probably helped me cope.  i texted a few friends to commiserate, then got lost in spreadsheets.  it helped dull the pain.

so, how y'all feeling about having you ASSES HANDED TO YOU IN CURLING!  what!!!  oh yeah, choke on THAT: Canada's Martin steals way to win over USA.

CA - NA - DA!!!

Let the record reflect, I txted Sweets last night, not to gloat, but simply to make sure he hadn't been killed/committed suicide.

I was going to text him exactly what I posted here, but I follow the rule of 24 hours for any live sporting event (non-final) in case he was recording it.

He's from Canada. It was Canada/US in the Olympics, outside the natural 9-5 work window. I had absolutely no question he was watching it.

i'll be watching the game at bugsy's tonight in old town (http://www.bugsyspizza.com/sportsbarindex.htm).  anyone wanna join me?

5.5 over/under with luongo and nabokov in a big game? almost wish i was a gambler

which would you take, the under?  i'd be tempted by the over, but 5.5 sounds about right.

2.5 is really a lot right? i'd take the swiss and the points

it is, but i'd still take the US and the minus.  winning by 3 shouldn't be an issue.

over. way over

how many big games have either of those goalies won in the nhl, let alone against all star teams? i see it as a 5-5 game headed to a shootout

Haven't watched much of the Olypmics but I have to say Curling is the weirdest sport I've ever seen. Its a sport with players dressed like referees, swiffers, and cleaning products wrapped in one.
