The most ebullient British debut since Elastica
for that matter I wouldn't have described Elastica as particularly ebullient

Anyway I was away in one of those meetings that sucks the life out of me.  And yes, I enjoy Felt and am listening to Stains on a Decade right now.  Any one of their proper albums worth picking up? I wouldn't know where to begin, but am happy with this disk.

And for two bands that share a lot of members, Beachwood Sparks and the Tyde really do sound quite different - I prefer the Tyde but think they do share some of the same sensibilities.

I only have stains on a decade and absolute classic masterpieces. I was hoping you could recommend more...

My disposable income keeps me from digging much further into their catalog at this point - I was in a store in Philly a couple of months ago and they had 3-4 of their proper albums.  I was tempted, but held off.

I have never seen any in a store, though they were all rereleased last year. I dunno if I really need more CDs at this point. Which store in Philly was it?

They have them at Amazon for around $13. But once I start with an Amazon order it never seems to stop. So I try to avoid it.

Yeah, Amazon is a bad scene; if I decide to get one or two discs on there I figure 'why not just get a dozen'.  The Philly store was AKA music in old town.  Hopefully the link works:

 I really like that store.

And they Felt albums looked like the rereleases.

mmmmmmmmmm, just thinking about that.  Wonder if Tommy bounces his head side to side when he's not singing.....mmmmmmmmm [/b]
i'll never forget the look of surprise on his face when i gave him a shout out... the other memorable part of the evening was seeing oasis wander by on their way to the stage and thinking how very short they all were.

you can go to a baseball game too!  let me know, cause i'd go see a game in the new stadium, although i am going to opening day.  plus, they have build-a-phanatic, sponsored by the build-a-bear company.  i'm sure the missus would appreciate such a nicety.

I'm just happy I got to go to a game at the hole they called the Vet before it imploded.  It was a preseason Eagles game and you could feel the hate even then.

And I'm still debating on the Delgados.  I'd like to, but I've been to a show every other day for the past 2-3 weeks and it's been catching up on me.

Very cool...thanks, b.

PS, you can watch this one as well as listen.  While they're just in the studio, it gives lulu a chance to scope the band out for skuchy hair...
