pearl jam has a channel now on sirius/xm.  twenty four/seven of them, live shows twice a day, interviews, rarieties, the whole nine yards.  i've been listening a lot . . . and i can honestly say that i can't take much more.

It is also Lollapalooza's 20th Anniversary, taking place in chicago. I don't think this is a coincidence.

Ask any of my friends: My apartment from 02-04 was nothing but live Pearl Jam non-stop. They probably still puke thinking of it.

With all due respect, for me attending that, it would be like dying and going to Hell.

I imagine the song playing on the PA in the entrance to hell is probably either Wishlist or Last Kiss.

Not at all familiar with either of these songs but, if I am unfortunate enough to enter the the Halls of Hell, you are welcome to DJ the event.  :-\

Not exaclty sure that I know what they are, but if they are what I'm thinking they are, I'd probably find them much more bearable than their music.

What makes this a Music Festival  as opposed to just a Pearl Jam concert?

I think the ones in alpine valley are what they consider to be a festival.  Kind of like what DMB is doing this year I guess.  ;D

Other bands.  Strokes, QOTSA, Mudhoney, John Doe.
Plus a Cameron Crowe documentary on the band.
And commemorative flannel shirts.
