Anyone been to the new record store called  Revolution Records on Connecticut Avenue near UDC/Van Ness?  If was wondering if it was the trip...

Well, looking at their website, though their bestseller list isn't so hot right now, they have in-store appearances.  They appear to be trying to fill a niche.  Hope it works.
 
 Based on the address, it must be in that strip of stores below the gas station, with the Taco Bell and "not Calvert Woodley" liquor store.

It's on the top floor of a 2 story building.  Very close to Van Ness metro station.  The posters hanging on the windowns reflect their top 5.

Has anyone here actually been inside this place?  
 
 I will say that I stopped in and looked through Melody in Dupont - I was pleasantly surprised; prices weren't bad and they had a fair amount of random stuff (a franz ferdinand ep, for example).

Who remembers that there used to be a Kemp Mill up in that neighborhood -- it closed probably '92.  It was next to the Safeway, which is now Gold's gym.
 
 It was scary for me to have a record store right there on my walk home from the metro every day...especially as a young 20-something with little cash but a jones for music.  I was actually relieved when it closed (bitch that I am...but who'd have thought they'd all close!)
