I'm cool with people who are straight edge.  Very supportive people, albeit a bit judgy but I think that's mostly because at the time we were all teenagers, and were pretty judgmental in general.

I don't care what people do, but the whole concept of "straight edge" is ridiculous. You don't partake in drugs or alcohol, that doesn't make you part of some movement.

you also don't have sex or smoke.  It is fine for 13 year olds.

There are a lot of straight edge dickheads in Richmond, at least around college age. I remember going to house parties and those straight edge cunts riding up on their bikes and throwing bottles through peoples windows because people were in there drinking or smoking. It never made sense to me.

When I was a freshman in college my roommate took me to a kegger and told me to drink beer.   I told him I didn't like the taste.  He brought out a baseball bat and told me to drink beer or he would hit me in the head with it.  I drank and after awhile I liked the taste of beer.  That is the right kind of peer pressure.  These straight edge kids are applying the wrong type of pressure.

The straight edge people I knew really supported friends and relatives of mine who were trying to get clean from H and Cocaine.  So, I never really had a problem with them.
