I know he opened that Thurston show there.

I have seen him at Velvet, BC Backstage and Red Onion.

Maybe this is his year... I have yet to see him.  I think this year that will change (might do the 930 show, will probably see him at 4Knots fest). Worst thing that happens is he plays to a near empty room and gets demoted to Black Cat next go around.

He's been getting a fair amount of label and music press promotion so that may have something to do with it.

When Yada refered to him as a board favorite, I had to laugh imagining Hutch's reaction.

Absolutely love the new album... I wouldn't be surprised if it's a pretty low turn out, but most likely I'll be there! How about a War on Drugs/Vile combo. Would be epcot.

Scratch that, I'll be drinking myself silly at The Alchemist and Hill Farmstead that weekend.

4Knots fest

Anyone been to this before?  Nice line up this year - considering making the trip up.

Vas went three years ago and was the one to talk me into going (he IS a fest head though... Not sure if we can trust his opinion on fests, he likes them all ).  It looks like a fun time.  Music from 1 PM to 8 PM.  We will be leaving from White Marsh at 8 AM, and getting back at around 1AM the next day.

I'd have to say a band like Kurt Vile would most likely be better to see in a small room vs. a large outdoor atmosphere.
