Rancid at The Fillmore on June 19th... I was just posting about this band with someone on here recently. I haven't seen them since the mid 90's but I'll be hitting this up.

I think I might try and take my son to this...Operation Ivy is his favorite and he's been digging Rancid lately too.

The Roots, the legendary, Grammy Award-winning hip hop band, will celebrate their 25th anniversary with a special concert on Saturday, June 15th at Kastles
Stadium at The Wharf. The showcase event ? DC Jazz Festival and Events DC Present: The Roots in Concert ? will be held during the 2013 DC Jazz Festival and
feature opening act Snarky Puppy.


P.S. Snarky Puppy is kind of an amazing band name.

Are the guys from Double Dagger in roomrunner?  Love roomrunner, but was not impressed with Double Dagger.  Maybe it's just because I was waiting for Shellac...

Denny was the Double Dagger drummer.  He is now the singer and one of the guitarists in Roomrunner.

The Double Dagger singer is in Pure Junk.

Peals features the Double Dagger bass player (along with the bass player from Future Islands) not playing bass.

I can see how you could prefer one to the other. Roomrunner is a lot more accessible.

My dream concert pairing, with Dylan thrown in for good measure.
But with two working parents and a six year old (and wife just starting a job so no vacation time saved), a Tuesday night show in MD aint going to happen.
