presuming they return in the fall for a headliner tour w/ the new LP, it's a rare instance where i'm not sure there is a proper venue for them to play. black cat won't do those guys justice.

I could see them on the backstage. I missed the last Casa Fiesta show but the first one was great fun.

The Mickey Hart Band are set to release their new album SUPERORGANISM on August 13th, 2013 featuring lyrics by Robert Hunter. Hart has sonified the sounds of the human brain, heart, and stem cells for this record. The band will hit the road in August to celebrate Mickey's 70th Birthday. Each night of the tour, Hart will perform with an EEG cap on his head while he plays the sounds of his brain.

Tuscadero is the only band from the 1994 HFStival that I still haven't seen!  (my parents wouldn't let me go)

too bad it's at Verizon Center, but at least it's not at THE LUBE I guess.  Looking forward to it..the new song is ok.

Nine Inch Nails/David Bowie at the Lube was great....

the real pity here is that GYBE is opening for them.  they are not an arena act, and i fear it's going to be painful listening to them (or trying to ) in a venue half-full of drunk bros & repressed suburbanites reliving their college days.  you know some idiots are going to try moshing to the drone...

Sounds like the crowd at the HTDA show.  Why do "bros" like Trent so much?  The "bros" i went to high school with, did NOT listen to nin.  The 'bros' liked country, Matchbox 20, and other BS like that.  Must be an East Coast Bro thing (i grew up in Louisiana but have lived here since 02). But yes Bros will be bros.

Why do "bros" like Trent so much?

because he wrote a popular tune that allows them to get down on the dancefloor, pump their fists, look each other intently in the eyes and scream "i want to fuck you like an animal."

Question, do you all listen to NIN regularly? I'm not knocking them (and was once a fan), I just can't get into it anymore listening to that level of loudness and anger on a regular basis.

I've seen them twice and I wasn't around too many bros either show (Verizon and Merriweather).  I have always noticed that Nine Inch Nails shows are the only shows where it is appropriate and seemingly encouraged to wear the band's shirt to the show.

I still listen to them, but I will admit that the big draw to seeing them live is to stare at Trent Reznor and his fabulous arms.

He is HOT.

no i don't, but then again i can't think of any band that i listen to "regularly" these days. too much new stuff, too little time.
