I find it nauseating when 40 year old guys desperate to hang onto their dying hipster cred say things like:

I did however see that they opened for Alcest last year? JESUS CHRIST. I really wanted to see Alcest but just couldn't make it happen. And now that Deafheaven is my shit, I'm even more bummed.

I find it nauseating how James constantly waves his daughter around like she's some sort of trophy and I don't care about what kind of self-righteous response he will surely make

I find it admirable that you both feel that way about your wives. I really do.

I also find it admirable when I see a guy with an obviously less beautiful wife who has to know he's not with the most beautiful woman in the room, and he adores her regardless.

And I know I've said it before on here but my wife is the most beautiful woman in any room she's in.  That's a fucking fact.

Actually it is an opinion.  I am sure most guys think their wife is the most beautiful woman in the room.

Why yes, heaven forbid someone should still have strong opinions about music and bands they like once they reach 40.   ::)

so Tricky postponed the entire tour citing visa issues... Steve Mason of the Beta Band also had visa issues but apparently his visa has now come through

assuming people are really having issues getting visas it begs the question of why is the US government making it so hard for musicians to get visas to perform?.. these are people with commitments outside the US with long track records of coming to the US, not breaking the laws, leaving once they are done..

kind of sad..reminds me of when Ibrahim Ferrer could not get a visa to attend the Grammys because he was a potential Cuban terrorist or something.... he died shortly after I think..

I agree.

I think I rented that movie he was in where he played a rock star. I kept waiting and waiting for it to get funny, and halfway through realized I had just wasted an hour of my life and wasn't going to waste another.

I thought that is what you were saying.  Why be so negative all the time?  I don't know Kathy Griffin but Andy Dick can be funny at times.

You are the first person I have heard of who didn't think "Get him to the Greek" was hilarious.

He was good in forgetting sarah marshall as well.  He was awful in Authur.  Maybe he just isn't leading character material.  Better in a supporting role.

As far as lowbrow humor (not humour) goes, The Hangover (the first one), Bridesmaids, Borat, Bad Santa, and the 40 Year Old Virgin all cracked me up.

Count me as #2.
