Still a lot more and Hutch went to both of those shows, I believe.

Franz Ferdinand tickets are apparently $58.50 (before fees I think)..

I'm going but wow.

I don't get the complaint.  Weren't Nick Cave and Morrissey tickets twice as much?

I think I get it.  Tower Theater in PA pricing for Franz.
US $30.00
US $30.00 Ticket + US $12.00 Fees =
US $42.00

Wasn't a complaint....

you guys need to get a life.

As far as Morrissey I did not buy a ticket to a show that was canceled anyways. Nick Cave I got a free ticket.

Anymore questions/stupid comments?

And I think ticket prices are getting out of hand in general.  But, that just makes me a more picky concert goer.

That price seems about right for Franz Ferdinand at the Strathmore.  I think it's okay if tickets are a little more there.

I miss the olden days of 30 dollar fancy concert tickets!  But I know it's just because I'm old now.

The shows I attend average $10 (some as low as $5, some as high as $15).

Agreed. I used to not really look at cost before I'd go to a concert. But now it's a genuine consideration. Part of the issue is that bigger shows have big production. And sometimes (like with Radiohead) I'd go not just for the music but to see what their set looks like. Same with NIN. But some concerts really are just overpriced.

wow..so face value at strathmore is basically twice the tower... as i recall the tower is not too shabby...

now I'm complaining!

 ;D

will be interesting to see how franz sells... they are definitely on the way down...15 minutes are up....their last album (my favorite of theirs) completely stiffed...can't speak for how the new album will do or if there will be a breakout song from it (unlikely)... personally I love them but i wonder at 58.50 how they will do packing in the strathmore..

also the strathmore does paperless tickets.. i remember for nick cave there were $10 tickets on stubhub right before the show...

I think that was just for Nick Cave.  I've always had paper tickets at the Strathmore.  Maybe that's a recent change?

I had paper tickets for Nick Cave, but went through his site for them.

well by paperless i meant electronic tickets.. i guess its just an option when you purchase tickets... or mabye not.. but if they do that it can lead to cheap last minute tickets (no shipping charges)

Every show I went to at the Tower has sold out in like 20 seconds.  So odds are you won't get a ticket.  Anyway I love the Tower Theater.  Probably best place to see a show.  I have never been to Strathmore though.
