Am I the only person on here who doesn't like QOTSA?

I don't care about them. For some reason, I always considered them some kind of mainstream band like Foo Fighters, Weezer, or Pearl Jam (in their respective genre), but maybe I am wrong.

I felt that way for a while, and then I heard their albums.

I like that one album by Portugal the Man a lot.  But saw them live and they weren't as good.

Speaking of that band, this is what happens when you refuse to sit down at one of their shows.

Edit: Already mentioned. Step away for an hour or two and you're lost.

personally not a huge fan, but they are an act I can imagine puts on a great live show.
I just don't like big venues like MPP and unless it's a band that I have to see...I avoid most shows there

yeah i'm the same... i saw two shows last year at MPP (New Order and the Bob Dylan/band that used to be Wilco fest)

before that i think i'd gone a few years without going there

I'd like to see Willie Nelson also at MPP this year but only crap seats available .. i think i was practically nearly dead when tickets went on sale or something...otherwise i can't imagine having passed that onsale up.

I love going there.  It was designed to be an acoustically perfect outdoor venue and was one of Frank Gehry's first designs.

QOTSA has all the elements of a band I should love and yet I don't really care for them, it's kind of odd. I did see the 9:30 show a decade ago with Grohl on drums and it was fine but have never been moved to see them again.

Nah, I'm just not a 20 year old, double digit IQ, high testosterone male, so heavy/hard rock doesn't appeal to me.

yeah but that bastion of intellectuality that is country music does..

come on..cut the stereotype bullshit (as immediately above) and get real

Yeah that is why I don't go to shows in DC during the week anymore.
