I still think my Counting Crows one is legit too. The band is schmaltzy as all, but that appearance made them an overnight success. I remember that happening. The band even has said as much.

First of all I had a feeling any GBV show could be their last...... which is part of the reason I hiked out to Milton to see them....

but, having said that, how bizzare to be announcing new shows TODAY in the morning and then cancel everything....

I hope everyone in the band is allright healthwise

i cant think of another band right now that can evoke a type of oversensual feelings of either extreme excitement or extreme disgust regarding any move they make.  notice no commas.

how about U2?

all you hear about (here) is hate and contempt, but they still sell out stadiums so someone loves them...

absence of commas duly noted and appreciated!

Well so do the Stones. U2 is a classic hits band now. No one is going to see them hoping to hear 'Get On Your Boots.' They want to hear Pride

Yung Lean
He is the worst.  Kudos to you if you can stand his music.  I thought he was a joke, but people seem to like him for some reason.  I deleted Unknown Death 2002 the day I downloaded it (on a friend's suggestion).

Okay, so here I am listening to Swedish rapper Yung Lean miss the bowl entirely and expel words all over the bathroom wall, and separate from the mildly uncomfortable experience of listening to a 16-year-old (at the time) talk about his assuredly huge dick, I can?t shake another overwhelming impression: this would be really enjoyable, were it not for the fact that some of us take things just too damn seriously.

That?s my theory on why he?s apparently become an internet sensation(!!!), because here in this elaborate cross section of tubes, ?liking,? distributing, or promoting something that might otherwise be considered hilariously bad makes you? cool! Really cool. It?s like the web is really obviously rebelling against the manufactured popularity of mainstream pop culture.

...

They at least seem earnest, but can we say the same about Yung Lean?s growing fan base, who are actually selling out his shows? Are we witnessing the phenomenon of a web-turned-real-life meme? We may never know for sure. #usadbro

I actually really like the production on a lot of his tunes. I think he is almost a little bit of satire and for the most part a lot of his lyrics [at first] didn't make a lick of sense. Talking about fucking girls in lamp shades or something I don't know. After a few listens the songs actually got stuck in my head. He's in no way a fantastic lyricist or singer or even rapper, but I do love the production on the music. I initially thought it was a joke, but whatever it is, I'm sold.

I have a Sad Boys shirt :(

from my earlier comment posted here again with no commas regarding certain bands . . . i feel pink floyd falls within.

I don't see DC as that up on him... For some reason I figured he'd be playing Uhall. We'll see how it goes though. Wasn't expecting it to be 18-20 bucks. I guess the hype train is a hummin'.

Bet it sells better than Ace Frehley.
Lucinda Williams
11-13
Ramshead Annapolis
$75

It's not much cheaper.
