I laugh when I read people blast one browser over another based on such absurd things as security, etc. Every browser has security issues, the biggest of which is the person operating it.

I despise that scheme that IE uses in the address bar whereas part of the URL is dimmed and the rest is not. That is very difficult to read. Supposedly it highlights the actual domain of the address, and as such protects me form myself. In the end it is just a pain in the ass.
i don't think anyone has mentioned security to date. that's a go-to complaint but as you point out yourself in that second paragraph, there are plenty of other things to hate about IE.
security isn't my biggest gripe with IE. it's how non-standard its interpretation of HTML is. i spend half my day making fixes so that stuff works or looks the same on IE, because IE plays by its own retarded rules.
