There is a mistake about the date of this video footage. They played at 9:30 Club many times, but i think this footage is from Oct 27, 1987. In some website the date listed is Dec 10, 1986.

Hm.  This tour was just a few years before  Anthony sexually assaulted my friend when they played at George Mason.

Horrible band.  Horrible people.

I am pretty sure it was the same year.  Mason day 1987 was the last year they had the beer trucks.  RHCP played in front of the library.

The footage isn't that great.  A bit dark and the sound is a tad muffled.  Have never seen a really low generation copy, though.  Not sure a clean copy is in circulation.

I collect chili peppers footage (from early era) but the only version of this is high gen. I thought i can find a lower gen tape here, or maybe some infos about that show.

I just thought about this today seeing Mason Day banners up.
'Sexually assaulted' is a bit grandiose for what happened, especially on a college campus in the 80's with beer flowing.
It wasn't like he was pulling a move similar to the Steeler's QB.
Wangs had a tendency to flop around on 'em back in the day.
I ditched high school across the street to see them even though I thought Freaky Styley was their last good album.
Seeing them all bolt the scene in a borrowed station wagon with Flea behind the wheel made it worth it.
