U2's "Elevation" DVD, the one live from Boston, is phenomenally directed and put together.

Music documentary - "Dig!" - I also hear "No Direction Home" is great.

The new Bob Mould DVD from last autumn (live at the 9:30) is going to shred.

My faves lately are the Coachella movie, Social Distortion's "ANother State of Mind" (classic), the live at Buff Hall portion of the Minor Threat DVD, and the Screamers live in San Francisco is pretty much the ultimate for me.

I don't have that many music DVDs, but my favorite so far is:

Kaizers Orchestra - Viva La Vega

The only one's I tend to watch often are the Live Aid and Live 8 DVD's.

Another State of Mind is brilliant, but I only recently purchased the DVD after replacing all necessary VHS tapes.

Oasis - There and Then
the Cure - Trilogy (for the Desintegration disc)
U2 - Live at Slane Castle (Zoo TV on VHS is epic...but no DVD yet)
 Coldplay - Live
Doves - Where We're calling from

other good ones I have: various Bjork, PJ and of course anything with Oasis in it  :)

I am really loving 'The New York Doll' documentary right. It's more about one character instead of the whole band but still really good.

I tend not to be all that enamored of music performance DVDs.  Documentaries are another story.

Best Ever: "The Decline of Western Civilization"

Also love "Dig" and "Gigantic (A Tale of Two Johns)" -- bearman, Gigantic is the They Might Be Giants doc I mentioned.  The DVD is great.
