But agreed. That happened during GW Bush's first term in office. That's a long time ago.
In regard to that incident: I've regretted it ever since. Feelings were hurt and (real) friendships were lost because of my stupidity. What I initially said was stupid. It was even more stupid to try to defend my stupidity when someone called me on it. When what I should have done was thought about what I said, how it might hurt someone, and be a gentleman and apologize.
That's all I have to say. As Smackie said, move on.
