Wow.  Can't believe it's been 5 years already.

I saw the Forever Changes tour...the greatest concert going experience of my life.  Magic.

I had free tickets to the DC101 Chili Cook off which was the same day as Love and The Zombies at the State Theater. Probably the biggest concert-going mistake of my life. At least I'll always have my Love LPs. I got original pressings of Love, Forever Changes, Four Sail and Out Here. I need to find a decent Da Capo and False Start. We miss you Arthur!

I saw that show too.  Not quite as great as Forever Changes tour but still awesome.  Johnny Echols played with them that night.  Blew The Zombies outta the joint.  Arthur still had that edge up to the very end.

If I remember correctly they had a show booked at Birchmere before he died.  Then he flaked on his band and the tour, not even telling them he was deathly ill.  They said fuck you and hit the road with Johnny Echols...

Fucking love this guy and this band.

First concert I ever went to was Chili Cook off With Jimmie's Chicken Shack, Seven Mary Three, Eve 6, Train, Indigo Girls and God knows what other crap. JCS was certainly the highlight of that mess.

I do wish I would have coughed up the 30 bucks and seen Arthur Lee tear it up.
