6th and I Synagogue Question
« on: September 21, 2011, 03:23:34 pm »
I know it's all general admission, but does anyone have experience with getting there when doors open and saving a seat for someone who arrives later?  would that be a shanda?

you can save a seat for someone...lay down a piece of clothing or something next to you, to let people know it's taken

What he/she said... great use of "shanda" as well.

What does "shanda" mean? One of my favorite Curb scenes is where Walter calls Larry a "shanda!"

"Postman, postman! Tell the neighborhood what a shanda Larry David is! HE SCREWS THE WIFE OF A MAN IN A WHEELCHAIR!"

I was on the elevator yesterday and someone pressed two floors ... almost had a Larry David moment.

I'm afraid I'm actually a reincarnation of Larry David.

The world needs people like us around, especially in DC, to call others out on their bullshit.
