Classic rock
« on: October 07, 2011, 06:09:28 pm »
Hey kids,
You guys and girls don't talk too much about the classics here? I don't see anything about some tasty jams by groups like the Zombies and the Stones? There's not even much about the greatest band to ever plug in amps, the Beatles.

Hey, it's the weekend! Time to put on that former Nazz-man Todd Rundgren's 'Bang the Drum all Day'!
My son Brian used to dance around in his diapers to this little ditty.

Right on brother! Sounds like you're requesting some Who action from Odds & Sods? Roger and company were dressed up in some good ol' US of A football helmets on the cover.

No doubt there kid. Hey, are going to see Fogerty up in NYC doing 'Cosmos Factory' and 'Green River' in their entirety? Should be some good shows.

Do the Cars count as classic rock? Them and Neil Young is about as far as I get when it comes to classic rock.

Check out http://www.rockscenester.com/ for rainy day reading of some good 1970s "Music Scene" 'zines.  Mostly a NYC perspective.  The behind-the-scenes photo essays are really fun; including the one in the March 77 issue w/ pics of The Ramones in DC that shows them touristing around town and then on stage at ye olde Childe Harold in Dupont Circle
