New Pornographers question

I know i am Canadian and i am supposed to know this shit.  but whats the deal with Neko Case playing with NP?  Its probably even been discussed on here.....but i need to ask again.
   
  Is she still touring with them?  on occasion?  and if she ISNT at the show, does it change their setlist? or do they get a fill in? skip her part?

she's currently touring on her own to promote her new album. carl newman's niece plays keyboard and apparently does an adequate job filling in on her vocals. obviously there are some songs they have to skip. i enjoyed the np's much more when i saw them with neko case, and i'm hoping their paths will intersect when they play lollapalooza, since she doesn't have a tour dates at that time and she resides in chicago.

so shes not like gone for good...just not touring sometimes when she has other stuff to do?
 
   i would think Lolla could be a big break for them and i also hope she's there.

She's still with the band, despite rumors they weren't getting along (she denied these in the pitchfork interview a few weeks back).  They tour without her, but it seems like she's pretty willing to join them if she's if they're in the same place at the same time, like at sxsw and in chicago on new years eve.

She should cut loose from them. She is so much more talented than Carl Newman, why should she bother with them at this point?

Maybe this is more accurate then. She's too good looking and too good of a singer to basically server as Carl Newman's backup singer/sidekick. His niece fills that role just fine.
