I never knew such good music came out of Canadia!

ouch.

i mean, i understand that acting/comedy is canada's greatest entertainment export, but you can't deny the music that has come from up north: celine dion, bryan adams, justin bieber, the RCMP marching band... the list goes on and on.

Nah man, I don't know this one. Notes say its 2003 which makes sense, time-wise, with me not knowing it. OK song though!

speaking of the Welsh Music Prize, I haven't heard all the nominees for this year, but man the Gruff Rhys - Pang and the Right Hand Left Hand - Rogue Zone albums are two of best I've heard in the last year...

if your a fan of the post\math rock stuff ala Trans Am, this a great album

https://righthandlefthand.bandcamp.com/album/zone-rouge

https://welshmusicprize.com/

and the winner was Deyah with her mini album Care City...  I'm listening to this at the moment and can see why this talented singer\rapper is getting kudos for this one...

Kyoto is about the 6th best song on Phoebe Bridgers’ absolutely revelatory Punisher.

Dylan sells his entire song catalog of 600 songs in 60 years to Universal Music for a reported 300 million

The Dylan catalog, a 60-year rock ‘n’ roll odyssey, is sold

https://apnews.com/article/business-music-nobel-prizes-bob-dylan-7748e53ffd61e8fe6652a1b6af82ed20

seeing as he's reportedly one of the most covered songwriters this will make someone some money...

also it points out how little artists are getting from streaming services.

Well $300 million is nothing to sneeze at

(All artists seem to be embracing this... I guess it makes sense to get the money before you die in terms of deciding where it should go...)
